Dr Wayne Cottrell qualified in medicine at the University of the Orange Free State, South Africa, in 1994. After relocating to the UK, he initially worked in psychiatry before completing his GP vocational training through the Guy’s and St Thomas’ GP Training Scheme.
With over 20 years’ experience in private family practice, Dr Cottrell’s clinic provides general practice services for adults and children, sexual health, men’s and women’s health, preventative health screening and travel medicine. The clinic is CQC registered and was rated “Good” at its most recent inspection in late 2019.
Dr Cottrell was awarded Top Doctors Certificate of Medical Excellence, in August 2021.
Dr Cottrell is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC 4159214) and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA MP 0457280). He is also a member of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).
