Dr Wayne Cottrell:

Dr Wayne Cottrell MBChB

Owner and medical Director, Cyberdoc Medical ltd, Trading as Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co

Dr Cottrell obtained his primary medical degree from the University of the Orange Free State, South Africa in 1994. After moving to the UK, he first worked in psychiatry and subsequently completed his GP Vocational training through the Guys and St Thomas’s training scheme.

Dr Cottrell has over twenty years’ experience of private family practice (adults and children), sexual health , preventative medicine and travel medicine. The practice is CQC registered and was rated “Good” during the most recent inspection at the end of 2019.

He is fully registered with the GMC ( General Medical Council, No: 4159214) and HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa, MP 0457280).In addition he is also a member of the Independent Doctors Federation (IDF) and the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) . His most recent revalidation was in 2021. Dr Cottrell can consult in English and Afrikaans.

Dr Steven Miller

Physician and Lead GP

Dr Steven Miller is a highly experienced doctor having worked for many years in adult and paediatric practice, in both an academic setting and in private medicine. He has postgraduate qualifications in infectious diseases, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections, travel medicine and vaccines, and is therefore very experienced in seeing patients of all age groups and differing presentations, from minor to more complex issues.

He is an excellent communicator and believes strongly that every patient needs to feel cared for and listened to, and treats each patient’s concerns, with the importance it deserves.

He is committed to remaining abreast of advances in medical knowledge and practises evidence-based medicine following the appropriate guidelines.

Dr Miller is fully registered with the GMC (3381195). As he trained in South Africa and doesnt work in the NHS, he is unable to join the Perfomers List or be on the GP register, so he works under the GMC “approved practice setting”,  as he has equivalent experience. His designated body is the Independant Doctors Federation, who he will be doing yearly appraisals with. He also remains registered with the and the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa, MP 0202760)

In addition to being fluent in English, Steven is conversant in German, Dutch and Afrikaans.

DR STEPHANI BERNARD

GP and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Doctor

Dr Bernard obtained her medical degree at Cambridge University and then completed the clinical medicine part, at Oxford University, graduating in 2011.

She completed her GP training in Nottingham in 2017, after working as a junior doctor at Kings College Hospital and Barts Hospital in London. During this time, she completed the Diploma in Child health and the Diploma in Sexual and reproductive health and is trained in fitting and removing intra- uterine devices.

In 2020, she completed her training to become a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Doctor. She is fully registered with the GMC (no 7140447)

Her special interests are women’s health, contraception, fertility and menopause and lifestyle medicine. She can be booked for in person or remote consultations.

Dr Rachael Cave

MBChB BMedSci DFSRH MRCGP

Dr Cave qualified as a doctor from the University of Birmingham. She has worked in both the hospital setting as well as general practice, to gain a broad range of experience across many specialities.

She completed her general practice training in London and enjoys working in both the NHS and the private sector. She is friendly, warm, and never judgemental.

Rachael has experience of working in a specialist sexual health centre and has obtained the Diploma in Sexual and reproductive health. She is also qualified in the removal of Intra uterine devices.

She is passionate about helping patients reach their health and wellness goals and has invested a lot of time into reading the research surrounding nutrition and lifestyle medicine.

“By listening carefully to my patients, asking a lot of questions and offering them longer appointment times when needed, I can offer individual lifestyle suggestions”.

Rachael is fully registered with the GMC (no 7071564)

Her special interests are nutrition, women’s health, sexual health and she is skilled in cryotherapy.

Ms Lare Adebayo

Specialist Paediatric Nurse Practitioner

Lare qualified as a paediatric nurse in September 2011 at London Southbank University. She has been working with us on a part time basis for 8 years. The rest of her time she works as a Gastroenterology Clinical Nurse Specialist, at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH).

She has a passion for working with and ensuring the safeguarding of children and young people, and she is the clinic safeguarding lead.

She has extensive experience of working in a wide range of specialities, including general paediatrics, A&E, Ambulatory/ surgical short stay, Oncology/ haematology and NICU.

Lare always prioritises the safety of her patients, maintaining high standards of care, always with a compassionate and friendly manner. She has a fantastic way with children and adults alike.

Working in varied environments has enabled her to develop a range of practical skills, including phlebotomy, administering injections, childhood and adult vaccinations, Yellow Fever vaccinations, wound care and dressings.

Lare also provides nursing care for our adult patients, including vaccinations, BP checks, UTI screening, administering injections, stitch removal, sexual health screening and follow up cryotherapy for genital warts.

Mr Greg Quee

B.Ed (Hons), AD Dip PD, PG Dip CBT, BABCP

Psychotherapist & Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

Greg graduated with a First Class (Hons) in Education, as well as a PG Dip. in Inclusive Education with the Institute of Child Education and Psychology in Europe.

He lived and worked in East Africa for many years. He moved back to the UK to complete his PhD in an anxiety intervention for a neurological condition, with the use of Virtual Reality.

Greg is a fully qualified CBT psychotherapist, and trained as a high intensity CBT therapist. He has a wealth of experience supporting adults, young people and parents with a variety of mental health issues. 

Greg is and is an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Prov.

Greg’s ethos is using evidence – based therapy to help support and take care of the individual with a human approach.

Dr Wayne Cottrell will be back in the clinic from 18 October and the clinic will be open every weekday from that date
