Terms of Use for Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co

Last Updated: June 2026

Welcome to our website. This website (https://www.drwaynecottrell.com) is owned and operated by Cyberdoc Medical Ltd, trading as Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are a private medical practice registered in England and Wales and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1. Emergency Medical Care Disclaimer

  • Do Not Use This Website for Emergencies: The content, contact forms, and email addresses provided on this website are not intended for urgent medical queries or emergencies.

  • Immediate Action Required: If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, a severe acute worsening of a health condition, or require urgent medical attention, please call 999 immediately or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.

2. No Doctor-Patient Relationship or Medical Advice

  • Informational Content Only: The articles, blogs, service descriptions, and general health information found on this website are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Consultation Required: Accessing this website or communicating with us via website forms does not establish a formal doctor-patient relationship. A formal clinical relationship is only established once you have booked and attended a clinical consultation with one of our registered medical professionals.

  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website.

3. Appointments, Bookings, and Upfront Payments

By booking an appointment through our website, you agree to our clinic’s financial and scheduling policies:

  • Upfront Payment Required: To secure your appointment, the full consultation or service fee must be paid upfront at the time of booking via our online booking portal.

  • Third-Party Booking Integration (Semble): Our online booking system is powered by Semble, a secure, third-party clinical management platform embedded via an iFrame. When you book, your personal and medical details are transmitted directly and securely to Semble’s encrypted servers in compliance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

  • Secure Payment Processing: All financial transactions and upfront payments made through the booking iFrame are securely processed by Semble’s integrated payment partner (such as Stripe). Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co does not store, handle, or have direct access to your full credit or debit card details.

  • Technical Availability: While we strive to ensure a seamless booking experience, we are not liable for temporary technical disruptions or booking errors originating from the Semble platform. If you encounter an error, please contact our clinic administration directly via phone or email.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Because appointment slots are limited, we enforce a strict cancellation policy to ensure fairness to all patients:

  • Notice Period: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must provide at least [e.g., 24 hours / 48 hours] notice prior to your scheduled appointment time.

  • Late Cancellations and No-Shows: If you cancel or attempt to reschedule with less than the required notice, or if you fail to attend your appointment (no-show), your upfront payment will be strictly non-refundable and forfeited to cover clinical time.

  • Valid Cancellations: If you cancel your appointment outside of the restricted notice window, your upfront payment will be refunded to the original payment card, minus any non-refundable third-party processing fees, if applicable.

  • Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to decline booking requests or terminate care if a patient displays abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour toward our staff or clinicians.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is paramount. Any personal or medical data you provide to us through this website, contact forms, or the embedded booking portal is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, images, and layout—is the intellectual property of Cyberdoc Medical Ltd unless otherwise stated.

  • You may view and download content for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content from this website without our express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • While we endeavour to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, we make no representations or warranties of any kind regarding its completeness or accuracy.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cyberdoc Medical Ltd and its clinicians shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this website or its contents.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as laboratory partners, public health bodies like BASHH, or health insurance providers). These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.
