How it works

1. Call from 08:30, or book online anytime. Tell us it’s for today and briefly what it’s about — reception will find the day’s available slots.
2. Get a booked time. No queueing, no walk-in lottery — a confirmed appointment.
3. Be seen properly. A full consultation — and where clinically appropriate, you leave with your prescription, referral, fit note or a results plan the same day.

Everyday illness and infections · prescriptions issued at your appointment where clinically appropriate · private referral letters for specialists and imaging · sick notes and fit-to-work certificates · blood tests · sexual health concerns, with same or next-day results available on many tests · children’s minor illness, with same-day appointments where appropriate.

When we’re open

Monday 08:00–18:00 · Tuesday 08:00–18:00 · Wednesday 08:00–17:00 · Thursday 09:00–16:00 · Friday 10:00–17:00 · Saturday 10:30–13:30 · Sunday closed. Phones are answered 08:30–17:30, Monday to Friday; online booking is available around the clock. Saturday clinics are pre-booked — book online or call during the week.

We’re at 30 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf — opposite the Jubilee line exit, three minutes from the DLR, full directions to our new location with photos and walking videos are available. If you have any access needs, call before your visit and we’ll make sure everything’s ready — the step-free route is via the South Colonnade entrance.

If it’s an emergency, we’re not the right place — and we’d rather tell you now.

Chest pain, signs of stroke, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding, sudden confusion or collapse: call 999 or go straight to A&E. If you’re unsure how urgent something is, NHS 111 will triage you around the clock. A private GP appointment — even a same-day one — is for problems that need a doctor today, not for emergencies that need a hospital now. If you book with us and describe something that sounds like an emergency, we’ll tell you honestly and point you to the right care.

Questions

Can I see a doctor today? We hold same-day availability across the week — call from 08:30 and reception will offer the day’s slots. Weekends and busy periods can be the exception, in which case you’ll be offered the earliest alternative, including video consultation.

Do you take walk-ins? No — we’re appointment-only. It means every patient gets a booked time and a full consultation rather than an open-ended wait, and it’s what lets us keep genuine same-day capacity.

Can children be seen the same day? Yes, where appropriate — minor illness in children is part of our children’s health service, with nurse-led paediatric support and doctor appointments as needed.

How much does a same-day appointment cost? Same-day appointments are charged at our standard consultation fees — all published openly on our fees page, with no hidden extras.

What happens if I need tests or a specialist? Bloods can usually be taken at the same visit, and referral letters are issued where clinically appropriate — often the same day — so the next step of your care starts without a wait.
