Testing and Treatment

  • Swabs are taken from the affected area (female) or urine (males)
  • Tests are accurate from 2 weeks post-contact
  • If you develop symptoms before that time, you should still see a doctor
  • Chlamydia can be treated effectively with antibiotics that can be provided onsite. No need to queue at the pharmacy
  • We advise sexual partners to be tested and treated
  • You will need to abstain from sex for a week post-treatment
Dr Wayne Cottrell will be back in the clinic from 18 October and the clinic will be open every weekday from that date
