UREAPLASMA UREALYTICUM
- Found in the genital tracts of otherwise healthy people
- It’s part of a person’s “normal” bacteria, until something disrupts the balance and causes it to multiply and cause problems
- Can be transmitted through penetrative sexual intercourse
- It can also be passed from mother to baby during birth
UREAPLASMA UREALYTICUM SYMPTOMS
- Frequently asymptomatic
- Painful, burning urination (dysuria)
- Penile, vaginal Discharge
- Fertility issues
- Pregnancy complications
- Prostatitis symptoms
UREAPLASMA UREALYTICUM TESTING AND TREATMENT
- Urine, sperm or vaginal swabs PCR
- Treated with oral antibiotics, dispensed onsite
- We advise contact tracing, testing and treatment
- Abstaining for at least 2 weeks post-treatment
- We recommend a test of cure, 3 weeks post-treatment
