Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men. A recent study has found that white men who exercise are 53% less likely to develop prostate cancer and in those men who already have the disease, studies show they have a 13% lower chance of developing the high-grade disease. However, there was no evidence to show that this reduction in risk applied to any other ethnic group. Prostate cancer is in many cases a disease with slow progression, however, some men have the more serious forms, which are harder to treat. This study shows that if you are a white man, exercise lowers your risk significantly. Another good reason to get fit!
Your chances of dying from prostate cancer are low if it is detected early, which is why screening for it is essential. So guys, get yourself checked!
